Integrated Management Systems (IMS)

ISO: International Standards Organization Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety

What is Integrated Management Systems (IMS)?

Integrated Management Systems (IMS) is the foundation of business management geared towards commercial processes. International Standards Organization, also known as ISO standards are positioned as globally recognized benchmarks for various aspects of organizational performance, including quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety. By aligning IMS with ISO standards, the processes are presented in a well-organized manner, organizational structures and resources are clearly outlined, and goals and key figures are communicated transparently. IMS ensures that all aspects of the business align with strategic objectives thereby facilitating efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement. Through streamlined processes, unequivocal guidance, and enhanced transparency, IMS strengthens decision-making processes and bolsters the achievement of business objectives.

IMS adheres to globally recognized ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, applicable to businesses of all sizes and industries worldwide.

  • ISO 9001: is a globally recognized standard that focuses on Quality Management System (QMS). It provides a framework for organizations to establish and maintain effective quality management systems, ensuring that products and services consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory standards. Implementation of ISO 9001 helps organizations enhance customer satisfaction, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • ISO 14001: is an internationally accepted standard that addresses environmental management. It guides organizations in establishing an effective Environmental Management System (EMS) to identify, monitor, and control their environmental impact. By adopting ISO 14001, organizations can improve resource efficiency, minimize waste, reduce environmental risks, and demonstrate a commitment to sustainable practices.
  • ISO 45001: is a standard designed to address Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management. It provides a framework for organizations to establish and maintain systems and processes that ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees and other stakeholders. Implementation of ISO 45001 helps organizations reduce workplace injuries and illnesses, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and promote a culture of health and safety awareness.

By integrating ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, organizations can enhance their sustainability journey, strengthen their competitive position, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and responsible business practices.

SCS conducts a comprehensive evaluation of client processes to ensure alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 requirements. Upon meeting these standards and as per the desired evaluation scope, certification is conferred, and a certificate is issued, validating the organization's compliances and dedication to Quality, Environmental Management, and/or Occupational Health and Safety.

These standards are globally recognized, offering a comprehensive framework suitable for organizations of all sizes and types, regardless of their business model or industry. Whether a company operates in manufacturing, services, or any other sector, ISO standards provide invaluable guidance for meeting regulatory requirements, improving operational efficiency, and cultivating trust among stakeholders. From small startups to multinational corporations, and from product-based businesses to service providers, ISO standards offer universally applicable principles to drive organizational excellence and sustainable growth.
